Is leg pain associated with l3 back problems?

Question:
I have had back problems with l3 disk in my lower back for years every time I have an attack the recovery time for my nerves and muscle strength to recover gets longer. Recently I started to have pains in my right leg when I walk a short distance. I wanted to know if this is common with this back problem. Thanks

you might hav PAD is it a cramping if after you rest does it go away? you need to check with dr.
i don't know if it's common or not, a pinced nerve can cause leg pains but it is quite obvious that u r seeing a dr. so ur best bet is to talk to him/her and find out what's going on. and yes the older u get, the longer it takes to recover. one of the less happy things to look forward to in our old age, good luck.
My sister has discs that are disinegrating in her lower back and are pressing on a nerve and she has pain that comes down and circles her leg. I also have a pinched nerve in my lower back that is giving me a horrible thing called periferial neuropathy. The bottom of your feet feel numb and yet are burning bad ..on top of that you have sharp pin and needles prickling them. It is worse when you sit in a recliner and when you are in bed . Some how it puts pressure in the lower spine where the problem comes from. There are things that might help ypu. These help lubricate joints and helps with the coating that covers nerves. I take Joint Juice and it is backed by the arthritis foundation. It took two cases before I noticed that I was no longer limping.something I had done for years after knee injuries and degenerative arthritis in both knees. You can get it at.. wal-mart for$2.98 for four small cans My husband takes Bioflex for rhuematoid arthritis and most days he is fine.
