Elbow pain in joint any cures?
Question:
Answers:
I had the same problem some years ago when I was doing a lot of Aran knitting.
I hate to tell you this, but you do have to stop this activity for a time as it aggravates the condition. The med. prof termed mine "Tennis Elbow".
Try Glucosamine, ( This is a herbal remedy, which the med. profession is now recognising), a good strength one, (750-1000mgs). This encourages the joint to heal. It's not a "quick fix", there is no quick fix, but it worked for me, just took time and rest from the activity which had probably caused the condition.
I did have to give up the knitting which was my bread and butter, for some time, but it was worth it to regain the use of both arms without pain.
Have a look on the net, there must be some results on research done on Glucosamine, and decide for yourself.

cod liver oil, works wonders on achy joints xx
I looked briefly, thought you said ". . . . any curses?"
Cod liver oil or other fish oil, not really cured mine though. I must be too far gone.
Sorry to say this, but you've got to let your elbow rest. Take a couple advils or motrins to help with the pain. If the pain does not stop after a couple weeks, then you need to go to the doctor. If the pain does stop, I would take it very slow with the digging and be careful not to exacerbate the injury.
I have a similar problem. I keep hitting myself in the head with a hammer and it hurts really, really bad. I like hitting myself in the head so I don't want to stop doing it. Do you know of any ways to make it stop hurting, I value my "hammer time" too much to quit.
Get my point?
cortisone injection
Depending on how long this has been going on, after 24 to 48 hours apply heat. You may need an evaluation to rule out muscle injury vs joint or bone injury. If this persists past 2 weeks, see a doctor or you may add insult to injury and if the area causes pain, one has to rest the part, no exceptions. You won't be fit for long if you further damage the part. I hope you feel better soon. Use your best judgment.
stop hyper extending it.

Accupunture.
It was the only thing that helped me when my elbow packed in.
But go to docs too coz there could be tendon and joint damage.
