Prescription medications for pain?

Question:
I mentioned having a migrain headach to a friend. She gave me some pain meds that she couln't remember the name of. I did not take them for fear of it not interacting with other meds I take also I didn't know what it was. All it has on the pill is GG532. How can I find out what it is.

Answers:
Pain is the only real thing in this world. Why would you want to hide it?
ask your doctor he'll know what to do. (or she..lol)
A book on medications, or call your local drugstore.
some migraine meds are: fiorional, fioricette, and imitrex..try looking those up on web md.
Go to the pharmacy and ask. They'll know.
A white capsule imprinted GG 532 is 30 mg temazepam, a benzodiazepine that treats insomnia. It's a tranquelizer, not a pain medication.

I wouldn't take it.

Go to www.rxlist.com & use the advanced search. Follow the directions & it will tell you almost any med you have.
As a general rule do not take other people's medications. Also narcotic pain medications can actually cause headaches as a side effect. It's best to see your MD if you have chronic migraines. There are several triptan meds on the market, like Relpax, Imitrex etc. ask your MD.
I suppose you do not know yet, that it is against the law to take any medication, whether it is a rectal suppository, or if it is heavy opiates, such as morphine, methadone, etc. that were NOT prescribed to and for YOU, and you alone. You really gotta be careful what you say and who you say it to.
good luck, I hope your "migrain headaches" get better. My best advice to you is to go to your own GP and get your own prescription, then you've nothing to worry about. Good luck
Call your drug store and tell them about the pill. They will be able to help you.
