It sure sounds like it could be a blood pressure problem. Does he check his blood pressure at home? In any event, he needs to see a doctor. If he is under treatment for high blood pressure and is still having high pressure attacks, he needs to change his medicines or get higher doses. But only a doctor can tell for sure.
AFTER he has been to the doctor, suggest he get a home blood pressure monitor. Get one with an "automatic" cuff--they are far easier to use. And make sure he gets a good brand. Not all of them are made very well. I use one from Omron, which my doctor recommended to me, and it is accurate and easy to use.
But that's for later. If his blood pressure is really high, and he already has cardiovascular trouble, he is asking for a stroke or heart attack if he doesn't get it back under control. And he needs a doctor for that.
Good luck!
I would say he needs to go do the doctor.
tell him to tell his doc
He should goto the hospital immediately. Do not take medical advice from ANYONE other then a doctor. I am not a doctor so the best suggestion I can give you is to goto a Doctor or Hospital ASAP. I could guess as to a few things that could be causing it but I don't want to mislead you since I am not a medical profesional. Tell your friend to tell his family about it and make an appointment to see his family doctor. If he has another nose bleed headache before the appointment tell him to goto the ER immediatly. Nose bleeds can be a sign of serious problems.
He needs to be checked by a physician, his b/p needs to be checked not good to have a h/a with nosebleeds.
hE needs to get back to the dr.that gave him the meds NOW HIS PRESSURE COULD BE DANGEROUSLY HIGH AMONG A LITNEY OF OTHER THINGS.
When I was a child, I used to have nose bleeds quite frequently. But I NEVER experienced a headache because of it. So maybe it's not the nosebleeds that's causing the headache. Maybe it's from the medications he's taking for his heart and blood pressure. Please advise him to see his doctor immediately. And while he's in the hospital, it wouldn't hurt if he consults with an eye doctor too. Sometimes, headaches result from an increase grade in eye vision (commonly called as astigmatism). Good luck to your friend!
has he told his doctor about this? it sounds serious to me
I am not a doctor and I agree with the person that says he should go to a hospital right away and see a doctor. To me it sounds like his blood pressure medicine isn't right and is causing this, but, as I said I am not a doctor and do not want him to stop taking his meds because of what I say. He needs to be seen soon, like today.
