I am looking for a good pediatrician.Can anyone help?

I am looking for a great pediatrician in the North Mississippi area. Columbus, Amory, West point or Tupelo, MS to be exact. My son gets sick with a severe cough once or twice a year and I have yet to find a doctor to get it to stop until after we have visited his office at least three times. Why is this? They do not listen to me when I tell them exactly what will stop the cough. When we lived in Vicksburg, MS his pediatrician there would listen to me and his cough would subside within two or three days. This time it's been around for seven days so far and still going. Can anyone give me any ideas? Please! Thank you all.

Do not go to Affinity if possible! Me and my family are constantly having problem, the Docs keep moving, relocating whatever. We seriously have had probably has over 15 Dr's between the 4 of us within the last 15 years. Good Luck to you, it is so difficult to find a good Doctor.

Good doctors are hard to find. Like many other professions, word of mouth can be very reliable.
Maybe contact a school nurse or a daycare and see what the parents think might be a good doctor. If you contact a nurse line they will only refer doctors associated with that hospital.
