Has anyone ever tried hypnosis?

Question:
Has anyone ever tried hypnosis to stop smoking or weight loss? I am curious if anyone has ever had a positive outcome.

Answers:
I was hypnotized a number of times as a volunteer when I was in college. I was told to be sensitive to my own needs while I was "under" and I was able to stop smoking and able to reduce anxiety as well--which is so important in smoking and weight-loss regimens. Good Luck!
Of course! I have you hypnotized right now! YOU BE HYPNOTIZED!
yes don't waste your money honey
I tried it to quit smoking. It was the most wonderful feeling I had ever had. Only problem was, the treatment included 4 sessions and it was expensive. You had to keep going beyond that in order for it to be successful and I could not afford it at the time.. I did eventually quit smoking but not because of hypnosis.
Me and my husband were both hypnotized to quit smoking, not once but twice.

The first time I didn't really want to quit, but my husband did. He insisted it worked and he quit, for about two months. I thought the whole thing was a scam. Later I wondered if I ever really gave it a chance. My husband really quit, and I felt like I probably sabotaged him.

The second time, (five years later), we both really wanted to quit. My husband wanted to try hypnosis again, so this time I really gave it a shot and I felt different this time. It really worked for both of us, and we haven't smoked since.

I do think the fact that I new I screwed it up for my husband the first time, gave me more incentive to stick through the tough spots, which you get occasionally. Still I knew that something was different this time. It's weird but, it never even bothered me to be around others that smoke.

Hope this helps,

I have tried hypnosis for weight loss, pain control, and not to eat chocolate. Overall I had a very positive outcome especially to not eating chocolate. I went 6 months with only 1 session.
Hypnosis is a trick of the mind, if you fall for it, oh wellz!
