Hand sanitizers?

Question:
Where does the dirt go when you use a liquid hand sanitizer instead of washing with soap and water. I've always wondered this.

Answers:
Hand sanitizers are not recommended when the hands are soiled or in other words have dirt or whatever on them. Sanitizers disinfect the hands or body part and do a poor job of actually cleaning. If you have dirt on your hands and you only use a sanitizer and do not rinse off your hands afterwards, the dirt is still on your hands, it's just emulsified or "watered down".
It evaporates with the alcohol.
