Knee Problem?

Question: I've got this weird bump/growth thingy above my kneecap. it hurts when i push it and it moves around in its particular area, but it doesn't hinder my ability to bend or hurt. Any ideas what it is?

I have heard of ganglion cysts sounding like that but they are normally on hands.
