What are the exact legal implications of impersonating a physician in California?

Question:
Is it a felony, misdemeanor, etc.? What state laws are pertinent? Is it also a federal offense?

Answers:
I do believe it is a FELONY! Maybe federal. Don't do it.

Other Answers:
why are u thinking about doing it? cuz thats a stupid ?tion
jail time all over u.s
I would imagine this would be a felony, as the jail time involved is bound to be more than a year.

not only that, but you would probably be open to criminal and civil lawsuits from anyone you hurt in the process. This is a very serious crime.

Would only be federal if you mistook patients in different states. Most doctors receive a license to practice in one state and have to apply for others. So if you lied about having a license in more than one state, and took patients across state lines, then it could be considered federal.
well lets put it like this buba is gonna be giving you rectal exams in prison you gonna be labeled as bubba's biotch
Gerald C. Barnes is one who was indicted on federal charges for doing precisely that.
