are heart palpitations that occur with dizziness always harmful?

Question:
i am 23 yrs old and diagnosed with palpitations. they cause me serious anxiety and now are starting to make me dizzy. i dont know if the dizziness is related to the panic or the heart. i have had ekg's and chest xrays at the er and all the doctors assure me its not my heart. but i still feel scared that something ig not right. could the doctors be wrong? i spend all day worrying about it and i know this doesnt help. i have no family history of heart disease but i am so worried i went to the er like 6 times last week. they tell me im in good health but i cant help but get freaked out about this please help.

Answers:
You may have PSVT which is a fast heart rate. It is very annoying and is scary when you feel it. It is treatable though. Do you drink /eat a lot of caffiene? (Cokes, tea coffee, chocolate?) Ask your doctor to put a Holter Monitor on you and see if anything shows up there. It is a 24 hour monitor you wear and it monitors your heart. Good luck!

Other Answers:
The heart palpitations could be restricting the necessary amount of oxygen to your brain causing dizziness, if all you are going by is ER diagnosis, then you need to have another opinion from a specialist or at least your own Dr.

When you went to the hospital did they obtain the EKG while you were experiencing the palpitations, or did you experience them while you were on an ECG monitor?
