the crutches must not be fit to you very well
oh you will be fine.its like you are just not used to moving with crutches, your hand won fall off.relax..hey why you on crutches anyway??
as soon as your off the crutches they will go back to normal what your feeling is a pinched nerve.
that happened to me (i was on crutches a few weeks ago). If that happens, just stop for a few seconds, let go and just wiggle your fingers. All the blood rushes back to your finger, and they get their feeling back.
Make sure your armpits are not resting on the top of the crutch when you are using them. You should have at least 1/2 to 1 inch space in between your pit and the crutch. There are a ton of nerve endings in your armpit, some that run all the way to your fingers, maybe this is part of the problem?
repetitive strain disorder or something like that , hopefully it will get better , if it dont sue the hospital
It's probably the fact that allot off pressure is on it, when your off the crutches try messaging it. it might just be asleep.
oh stop complaining!
Does it get better when you're not on crutches? Pressure babe, pressure. Too much pressure is no good. Take the weight off!!
Try wrapping the handle with some padding like a thin sponge and tape it up. You are gripping the crutches too tight so try to distribute your body weight on your palms. You may need to shorten the crutches a little.
the pressure and wight you are putting on the palms of your hands when using the crutches is pinching a nerve. when i had carpol tunnel my thumb and first 2 fingers would go numb. i have also have a pulsey nerve in my elbow and when i put my elbow on the table it sometimes makes my pinky go numb. anyway it should go away after you no longer need the crutches. you can try and really pad out the hand areas on the crutches and see if this helps. rest often and if you notice the numbness lasting after you have put the crutches down then speak to your dr. you might ask your dr if he can reccommend wrist and hand supports that wont effect you holding the crutches.
