There are many things that can take care of a headache without meds but the problem is 'what type of headache'? there are many things that can cause a headache, this time of year the most common is due to allergy and colds, it is from inflamation, so you get the head and neck ache feeling. That is why anti-inflamatories work so well (such as Advil, Motrin etc.) when it comes to sinus or head cold headache that are things like steam to help open the sinuses. You just take a bowl of steamy water, place a towel over your head then breath it in. Becareful it can be hot. Getting mositure into the house etc. I have even heard if it is the sinus area, hot spicy food can really help like eating super hot sauce, it is a natural way of draining your sinuses. If the headache is due to stress, welll you know the answer to that one. Learn to relax, meditation is good to learn and if you know someone that is very good at messages that will work well too.. the area is mostly in the neck. But remember headaches can be signs of other things so make sure you know what is causing the headache first. I have to say the worst pain is always pain that is located anywhere above the neck, such as teeth, ears etc. That is another thing too, if you have an on going headache there is always your teeth or wisdom teeth causing pressure.. good luck
A 1 or 2 hour nap always gets rid of mine.

Wel i believe the best option is to drink plenty of water, as your brain is dehydrated, also see your gp if persists as it may be more serious and they will take a blood test to check for infection.
a strong cup of coffee works well. caffeine
I agree with the first 3 answers you got. A combination of the 3 usually work for me and I suffer from migraines.
If it has anything to do with stress then go for a run or a walk and just clear your head but if it's not then..

"Herbs

Black Willow: This plant contains aspirin-like compounds. Like aspirin it's good for pain, inflammation and fever

Cayenne: This member of the hot pepper family has traditionally been used to control pain. It does this by depleting substance P in your sensory nerves

Passion Flower: The combination of spasm relieving, sedative and pain reducing qualities of this herb make it help for headaches, especially due to stress

Homeopathy
Homeopathic remedies taken acutely for mild to moderate pain are a temporary cure. They safely eliminate pain, but don't solve the long-term problem. Change remedies if your symptoms change. If you have a hard time choosing a remedy, use the most prominent symptoms as your guide. If you're currently under homeopathic care, consult with your practitioner before taking any other remedy.

Belladonna: Favored in fever headaches, this remedy suits pain that begins suddenly, is severe and throbbing, and feels better sitting. Cold feet and hands, a hot face, and sensitivity to smell, noise, touch, light or movement point to Belladonna.

Bryonia: If slight movement makes your head pound noticeably more, then Bryonia may help. The steady ache and fullness of this headache often appears upon waking. Nausea, vomiting, constipation, irritability, left eye pain and a desire to be alone are typical of Bryonia.
Nux vomica: Think of a hangover for this remedy. Anytime your headache begins because of too much alcohol, coffee, drugs, work or food, Nux vomica may help. This headache includes a general ill feeling with various digestive complaints. Warmth feel good, sound, motion and lying on the painful side hurt."
usaully a little nap gets rid of my headaches

"breath in breath out"
if THAT doesn't work, i have another advice for you:
get off the comp and try the advices
i was told to drink an 8 oz glass of water, best if its room temperature, as fast as you can. i have done this a couple of times. it does seem to work on occasion, and i think it depends on how severe the headache is. hope this helps you.
I have had many headaches over the course of my life. I recently, well a year ago, went to a chiropractor. The ex-rays revealed the source of the problem and why pain meds did not work. I have Scoliosis and subluxation in my neck. The vertebrate were misaligned thus causing much pain. Once the bones were moved back into a more normal range, they (the headaches) disappeared. My chiropractor has worked wonders for me. I would suggest seeing a Dr. and getting an ex-ray done of your spine, just to rule out any problems there. Taking pain relievers will only mask the pain, they don't show the cause of that pain. You will actually have to find it. Good luck!
