It's just like coming from an airplane ride from Europe to the U.S. It just takes time converting time back to normal but your body will start to adjust and make it as comfortable as possible.

Never ever sleep during the day
I think most people can adjust to a shift, however, when they keep changing you from one to another it makes it difficult.
.I would suggest you find the shift you like and ask your boss to keep you on that shift..if possible.
do not take anything into your head and take things lightly so that you can have good night sleep that will help you give best to the
patients
You have to be really disiplined. I know from experience cause I also work graveyard at a hospital in Los Angeles and I had the same problem. But my reccommendation is to set yourself a schedule and to try to abide by it as much as possible. That usually means not being able to party and go out with your friends (who have regular jobs) as much as you would like to. But then again, if you're a nurse, the pay is pretty good right?
