What to do next when medicines don't work?

Question:
I have been having this cough for one month, and added on a real bad cold for last 2 weeks. I've taken almost 2 bottles of cough syrup, and more than 10 tablets of panadol cold, as well as those prescribed by the docs. But the cough and cold just don't go away. What's happening? What's next?

Answers:
You need to go back to your doctor for further examination and testing to determine what exactly is going on, since the medication doesn't seem to be helping. It could be that you have a different type of infection, that the medication does not work on.

Other Answers:
You need to go to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. They would probably help you more so than your Gen. Practitioner.
Consider the possibility of an allergic reaction to something in your environment.
