Depends on the condition of the patient
Agree, in the case of a physical, terminal disease. Who are we to tell someone they must be in physical agony for months or years?
I agree-one should have the option
Go for it!
Agree
let me know the outcome"the suspense is killing me "
disagree, life is precious you should in enjoy it or at least see it through to the end not taking a cowards way out because of pain, whether physical or mental.
Yeah that;s how irs spelt.
no idea but will agree
Agree. The sooner the better as far as my in-laws are concerned.
Oops, did I say that out loud??
I agree with jenfleur on this one.
I would hate to suffer for months/years knowing that I could end the pain.
it should be an individual decision, by the patient or their family, if incapacitated
That's a hard one. I have to say yes and no. Yes when it is use for what it is intented to be. No because it can lead the murder of a inocent healthy life.
It should be personal choice. Some religious beliefs can prevent surgery or intervention to save life when it contravenes someones belief. Why couldn't this right be based on a living will?
it worked for me or did it?
Disagree. One should suffer what one has to suffer. I don't much care for how cold it sounds, because it's not my intention to sound cold. People have to stop running away from their problems and confront them as strong human beings, even if it is one's last problem.
absolutely agree 100% if your in pain and medicine can not help you if science has no answer those who want to go let them have peace
I agree that Euthanasia is a Word in the English Language.
I think Euthanasia is an individual choice, or a family choice, not a choice of politiicans.
That said, I would rather Politicans make the choice for society rather than the Insurance Companies.
What do you think Hospice is? It is a place where people have gone to quit being treated for their illness and let death happen.
For people without an ability to eat, food and fluids are also withheld.
It is harsh - but so is being in surgery after surgery until you die in a operating room.
Euthanasia happens all the time.
You are probably focusing on people who lack the mental capacity to consent. Why should they lack the choice of Hospice vs Tubes & Surgery?
This is the real value of marriage. You must trust your partner to make these decisions on your behalf.
agree
