Is Laser eye treatment really safe? Are there any side effects?

Question:

Answers:
I had the new laser eye surgery done. I love it. I am 27. It has been over a year. My right eye is a little dry at times, but it is so much better than fooling with contacts or glasses. I definetly recommend it. Just like all surgeries, there are complications. I was very scared that I may never see again, but it turned out fine. I would never do it again, but I am very glad I got up the nerve to do it.

Other Answers:
no, my grandma had it done she has never had side effects

I was going to get it until my new eye doc mentioned that it worsens night glare, mine is bad now and I don't want it worse so he told me not to do it if I want to keep driving at night. If yours isn't bad then I have a friend that swears she would do it again in a heartbeat. you see better, and ive heard a few people mention that their eyes have some trouble with tear production now, like they have dry eyes, nothing drops dont help

I have had laser surgery and am the happiest woman in the world for it! I have had no problems or side effects. But - do what the doctor tells you to.
My surgery took all of 10 seconds per eye - if that. No pain.
Yes - very safe!
