drink some water, I had this and then suddenly realized I had not had a drink of water in quite a long time.thus leaving my with a extremely sharp pain in my stomach/side area caused by dehydration. It's always a good idea to take a drink of water after having a sharp pain in your stomach, while even if you don't drink much, it could help..unless your son injested some foreign substance that could harm his intestines.then you might want to call a doctor.

the pain is probably due to some gas in the stomach or due to digestion or its cuz he didnt go to the bathroom. u know wat i am talking about right i hope u do and just make him eat something and ask him to drink a lot of water to let the food down.
and if its gas just give him some medicine that gets rid of gas
It can be so many things, so I suggest that you take him to the doctor if the pain continues. It may be something as simple as bad digestion to maybe a gastrointestinal problem that may need treatment but your doctor will clear this up for you. Good luck and hope your son feels better : )
Its hard to say, it could be anything from some trapped gas which can cause a sharp pain to something more serious.
I would keep an eye on his condition, check to see if it gets any worse. If it persists or you get more worried just taking him to the doctor to get checked out
I had the same stomach pains when I was 14 my Grandad
took me out to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, when I had
these extremely sharp pains, I got home, still having them,
my Nan though I had stomach ache and fed me hot water,
eventually I had to be rushed to hospital, and collapsed at reception, with Appendicitis so I would get it checked!

I had visited doctor twice for stomach pain.
then he suspected something and asked me to do a blood test.
Result: Thyrotoxicosis. (hyperthyroidism)
ie. metabolic rate running too fast; digesting too fast, hungry, stomach pain, difficult to sleep, heartbeat faster..etc.
