Will hanging upside down help back pain?

Question:

Answers:
I heard one of those things (back bubble) that you hang upside down in. helps your back if you have disk problems.

From looking at it, it looks to me like it is just pretty much traction.
no way. blood will rush through your head.
Don't take chances with your back. Go see a physio therapist.
No but walking does.
No Instead you may get other problems.
Most definitely yes,it does help a lot. When you are standing, gravity is pushing down on you but when you are hanging, suspended from the ankles it is very similar to traction and the blood rushing to your head is good for you too.
Where did you hear that from? no way!
I have a friend who has one of those upside down contraptions and swears it helps his back.
i dont know about your back but it will make your blood rush to your head then you will also have a head ache. i had a coworker that has a special kind of table i think its called an inversion table he says it helps with backache. try a massage it would feel better than hanging
of all the oposims i know, none of them have back problems. think i'll try it myself. i am not sure how long you can hang upside down.

realisticly, it may help by letting things go back where they belong, but you might want to ask a bone dr.
I have arthiritis in my back and severe muscle spasms and I recently purchased a gravity inversion table. I can say from experience that it does provide relief but only for a little while.
I have severe scoliosis and i don't know if it helps or not but let me know if it does???????
