How dangeorus is lead in power cords?

Question:
I have 2 small children and I just realized that a lot of power cords have lead in them. How dan\gerous is it to handle them? What can I Do?

Answers:
As long as the lead portions of the power cords are always covered, and the kids don't chew on them, they should be safe. The reason lead based paint was banned in 1978 was because of kids eating the paint chips; however, with the prpoper coviering, it should be safe.

Other Answers:
power cords have copper in them, not lrad.

Power cords have no lead. Never have. Not as good electricity conductor as copper. Not flexible. Not durable.
