Answers:
Diabetes can actually lead to swollen limbs. As Neuropathy can effect almost any part of the body and it is the term used by physicians to describe nerve damage. Causes of neuropathy are usually as a side effect of some prexisting disease or condition such as diabetes, shingles, or cancer and chemotherapy use. In cases of neuropathy, sensory as well as pain nerves can be effected. This means that the pain felt by neuropathy patients is unusual in that it will often be a burning sensation, or the feeling of having a "dead leg" from having your circulation cut off.
Has your Doctor given you a diuretic? If he has perhaps you need a stronger one. I have the same thing exactly but it is much better now. I also find exercising your legs helps also.
You really need to get to a doctor and let him/her take a look at that. For some reason you are retaining too much fluids. That happens a lot in people with diabetes. It can also a side effect of congestive heart failure. Heart problems and diabetes go hand and hand. If you don't get it seen then you can be opening your self up for an infection that could lead to gangrene. I am sure I don't have to remind you that a lot of diabetic patients end up with an amputation.
Get off the computer and dial 911. You have a serious problem and need to go to the emergency romm ASAP.
