I beg of anyone's help?

Question:
I have rencently had an injury at school. One of my discs had come out of my back and now pain follows me wherever I go. For people who do not know what a disc is, it is a cushion in between you vertebraes to keep from bone rubbing on bone. I was planned to have a surgery right after school. The day before the surgery date, the hospital calls and says the have not recieved a letter of authorization from the insurance.

IT has been over two months and still no word. Until we recieve a letter. A letter comes from the Korean American Medical Group that is an authorization for the surgery. It shows that the insurance had approved the surgery after all on June 6th. I was scheleduled to have surgery on June 14th, if the authorization was mailed on time by the Korean Medical Group.

The Korean Medical Group is a branch of the original insurance company, Blue Shield, that we were under.

I don't know what to do. I need help! PLease somebody, anybody

ouch! get thearpy for it and hopefully ull be ok.
Go through the surgery?
Is it a linkin park disc?
Find out exactly what the hospital needs now. Work with them, and I'm sure they'll want to help you, or they won't make any money.

Good luck
fax the authorization to the hospital and tell them you can not take the pain of the herniated disc any longer. If they dont help you, you will be sure to name them in the forthcoming legal proceeding your parents are preparing. Actually I would think Mom or Dad would have already done this for you
i dont know what to do to help...that sounds painful, stay low on movement and keep a heating pad around
Sorry, all i can say is contact the insurance ppl as soon as possible....take care
Now, why does this sound like some poor Nigerian widow begging for money, like one of the hundreds of emails I've gotten over the years?
If it is serious go under a different plan !!!
Have you tried contacting your insurance company to make sure they've processed and sent the authorization? That's the first thing I would do.
First thing is to STOP WHINING! no one likes a whiner, and everybody knows of someone with back pain.

The sky has yet to fall, chicken little.
Re schedule and get it done. The authorisation should be good.
danng that really sucks.
if i were u i would have the surgery and get some psychical therepy too
idk what to say but i wish u luck

ii could really use the 10 points for best answer. im on level 2!!!
Go to the hospital, show them the paper you received in the mail that proves you have approval to go ahead with the surgery. Reschedule for surgery, and I wish you the best of luck with that. My prayers will be with you and yours that the surgery goes well and you will be without pain again.
It is authorized so all you have to do is make another appointment. I would also bring the authorization with me. You should also keep a copy of the authorization for safe measures.
Until you get this letter, are you able to see a Chiropracter and just pay on cash basis?

If not, then I would call the company directly and tell them the urgency of your situation.
Perhaps, they can fax this letter, instead of mailing it. Maybe at your parent's place of business they can accept a fax? Or if not, a lot of the local office-type stores (Like Staples) has this service.
When talking to the company, ask for a higher-up to help solve your problem - don't settle for a representative. You NEED some help - FAST!!!!! Otherwise, your back will get much WORSE and you could cause irreversible damage.

Man, I feel for you! Good luck!
You need a grownup. That is all they listen to.
Have your guardian or parent call them and tell them you need help now. Those insurance companys won't pay unless you make them. So your parents or what ever will have to do that.
does your parents speak english?
do you have parents?
Or a Guardian? If a guardian call DHS protected services for children. They will do it for you.
That's a tough one. I know the surgery can be very helpful. My brother actually had an "artificial disc" placed in his back and it has eliminated the pain a great deal. He's quite a bit older than you, but he is now able to play basketball again and do a lot of other things he avoided before. I would suggest that you become a royal pain in the butt for your insurance company. Call them on a daily basis. E-mail them on a daily basis. Eventually, they'll get tired of hearing from you and take care of business. Good luck.
KEEP CALLING YOUR INSURED AND PUT PRESSURE AND IF THAT DOES NOT WORK COMPLAINER TO YOUR INSURES AND ALSO COMPLAINT TO THE DOCTOR THAT IS GOING TO OPERATED YOU

GOOD LUCK
My Science teacher recently had those put in. Unfortunately, I have no idea what will help. Stay comfortable. Try to stay in one place all day, like laying down so gravity doesn't cause pressure and make it rub. Get up to get food or bathroom breaks only. Get books to read, sit near a television, Ipod, c.d. walkman player, anything like that. If someone is at home with you, be sure that they do as much as they can to keep you from moving. Sorry you are in so much pain, I wish it will feel better and you can get your sugery soon!
I had to hire a company to keep track of Blue Cross Blue Shield and other medical insurance matters. That is all they do. If you e-mail me I will contact the woman who owns that company and ask her to help you next week. I think she will do it for free. In any case you can talk to her and see if she can help you out. I'll authorize any payment if it is required for her time. If you are interested, click on my icon and go to contact Zelda and leave me a message with an e-mail address I can send you a message by.

Eric. I sent you a personal message which may help. Please check your e-mail.
Call them and ask them to fax it to the hospital and get the right department at the hospital and ask them for their fax number.

If they say they can't do that, tell them that you are going to call whatever state you live in's Insurance fraud dept. So if you live in Illinois, tell them you are going to contact the Illinois Insurance Fraud Task Force unless they get something to the hospital immediatly.

Better yet, have your parent(s) do this.

God Bless
What does your doctor think about all of this? Is his fee approved? If so have the doctor's office reschedule the surgery.....that how it works in my office.
blaze two get at me in the morning
Each state has a insurance commissioner, call that office and file a complaint against the company. Until then know that every hospital is required to treat you for emergencies and have alternative funding for persons without the funds, they will also assist you with the insurance, or help you apply for medicaid.

There is no reason you need to suffer.
Did you slip it, or is it prolapsed? If it's just slipped then bedrest should do the trick, though it might take a few months of it.
