go to doctor as soon as you can. serious or not, it is better that you find out soon. you may have gotten an infection in you eyelid or trapped bacteria in the tear duct. i hope u get well soon.

use a sterile saline or eye drop and see of that helps. it has happened to me before and also take a benadryl to be on the safe side.
It could be a sty (stye?) which is an infection of an eyelash follicle. I get them sometimes & they are not usually serious. I would see a doctor about it just to be sure though.
