Why when we sweat, does it taste salty?

Question:
I hate the taste of salt generally, and don't enjoy lickin my arm or anything, but I noticed this and never understood. I understand that we secrete salt, and I'm not looking for that answer. I'm seriously curious as to why it somes back out salty. ALSO, if salt dries things and makes them crack (like in the desert), why wouldn't we theoretically dry up and die if we never used lotion, etc?

Answers:
There's salt in it. Salt naturally keeps everything clean and purified.

Other Answers:
Remember we are pretty much water. Fill a five gallon bucket of water and then put a tea spoon of salt in it, tell me if it dries up. If so, you put too much salt in.
if u don't lick your arm - how do u know sweat tastes salty?
u tasted yo sweat b4?
You answered your own question. It tastes salty because we secrete salt with the moisture. It doesn't dry us up because our bodies have to have natural levels of salt.
what do you usually smoke ??
If i sweat i dont think to lick my arm, or any other part of my body!
well the reason your sweat taste salty is because you body is releasing the extra sodium in your body.we actually do dry up because sometimes our skin starts to lose its smooth feel and your skin starts to flake from like dry skin and also if you look at your feet and hands they can also crack and bleed i use to have that problem when i was younger
