Question:
I was in a car accident in 2001, hit on the left side of the car (driver side) I was not driving, airbags went off and car was totatled, so now I get back spasms on my lower left side and some times my whole left side is very tight and sore, when I do really hard lifiting like yardwork or working out at the gym the next day I'm in pain. but I just want to spasms to stop, so I can have a normal day and not walk hunched over.

Answers:
I can so relate to you!! I was t-boned in 1983 and once in a blue moon I can not move myself with my legs to save my life.

hurts that bad for 1 or 2 days then it goes away

but I found that if that happens I can crawl on all four (hands and knees just find with out major pain and it is a safe way to work the back too if you got one of them days whn walking is not a n option at all. Any fast twisting, not a good idea! or lifting when tired do that when fully rested. do not weqr tight confining clothes that seems to irrritate the problem well for me it does.
I love giving my kids rides around the house on my back when we are playing horsey they are 4 and 5 on good days I do on bad I crawl cause that is the only way I can move with out pain in the house!! I do not go out this way at all.

the second day if I can stand I might take baby steps but my back will tell me very sharo gab that I took a big step to far and over ther next 3 to 4 days it fades to nothing when I am out in the cold and I am warm or heated up to a point of tired around the hips
then the next day is just like you said. there is no way around that but what I do every night while watching tv if I want to head to the kitchen and I am lazy I will crawl there LOL
it is fun and it builds your back, leg and arms up in the process
I know it is not the cleanest on the hands and knees but it is your home!! have fun cawling around.

go to a physical therapy facility. they will show you exercises to do to help with the spasms.
