Swollen leg?
Question:
Answers:
Accupuncture may provide relief, but be sure to avoid the actual leg where you had the infection. You don't want to develop it again.
Also, try to keep your leg elevated as much as possible throughout the day & night.
possibly
Was it definitely diagnosed as cellulitis? Infections can cause damage to lymph nodes, people with lymphedema because lymph is not flowing right are prone to infections. Did you ever have any swelling at all before the infection? You could have primary lymphedema and the infection just activated it. Accupuncture would NOT help it, if anything it could cause more damage. You need to be evaluated for what's causing the remaining swelling, ask your doctor if lymphedema is a possibility and if it is you need to see a lymphedema therapist for complete/complex decongestive therapy. I can tell you alot more about lymphedema, but you need a definite diagnosis of the swelling first to be sure it's not a blood clot, etc.
