Question about aspirin?

Question:
My mother took some 80mgs. this morning at 5:30am then she took another 2 at 10:00am, then she took one more that is 200mgs. She is having a bad migrain, but is going out after taking all of this aspirin. Is it safe for her to drive? She said she is lightheaded and a little woozy.

Answers:
No!

Aspirin is used as a blood-thinner. The lightheadedness and wooziness are because her brain is being slightly oxygen deprived. She should lie down immediately and not take any more aspirin for awhile.

Other Answers:
uhm if she is woozy, then no way is it safe for her to drive. take those keys and drive her yourself.

If she feels lightheaded and a little woozy, I would say no! She is probably light headed from the headache , not the aspirin. But i can tell you the best aspirin to take is Excedrin. It has caffiene and It works wonders for migraines--I would have her lay down for a bit and in about 3-4 hours take 2 excedrin and she should be ready to go in a half hour after that

regardless of wether the aspirin is the cause of her light headedness, you mom shouldn't be driving. she needs to see a doctor.

Being a miagrine sufferer myself, aspirin usually does not do the trick. If she is light headed, its a combo of too much aspirin and the miagrine. Do not drive if you have a miagrine. Does she have them often? Watch to see when she has them. Sometimes, certain foods can cause it, or the changes in weathers. Stress can cause them, but if she has them often, have her go to the doctor. There are preventative medicines she can take that are safer than aspirin and there are many meds out there she can take to take away the headache. I found laying in a dark, cool quiet room, and alternating heat and cold packs to the neck sometimes help. In any case, have her discuss her symptoms with her doctor.

No! Don't let her go! She WILL fall asleep at the wheel. It is a proven fact that driving is a way to relax and soothe yourself!
