Brother I am a nurse and I have been doing nights for years. I am desperately trying to get something where I don't have to work them. They mess up you metabolism, make you fat. There was also a study that shows that people who work nights have a higher risk of getting cancer. I hate it.

Once you get used to it, it is like a regular shift from 9 to 5. That is, if you sleep 7 to 8 hours a day.

Unless of course you are a vampire, it will take away your feeding time.

Unless of course you work in a pace where people turn up missing and no questions asked.

Unless of course.

I worked night shift for sixteen years. You are always tired during the day, I never got used to that. Not being able to sleep well after the second night off in a row, I have to take something to help me sleep. Weight gain. Quicker aging. Stress. Not being able to do some family functions, because you won't get enough sleep. and will have to stay up all night. Getting fired if you get caught sleeping on the job because you're not used to it. Otherwise, the nightshift crew is the best by far in my experience. At 4:30 ---5:00 a.m. you get a second wind that will blow the whole place down. I'm also damn good at my job. I work in nursing.
