I swallowed a fish bone a week ago. Now my chest hurts??

Question:
I was admitted into A&E last week after swallowing a fish bone and vomitting a copious amount of blood. The bone felt as though it was stuck in the back of the throat but X-rays and a scope couldn't find anything. The doctor assumed that the bone was passed down. It's been a week but the right side of my chest hurts alot when I eat or drink. It feels like heartburn but I m quite sure it is not. Can anyone give me an explanation of why it hurts in the chest and not the throat? And what should i do?

Answers:
I would suggest a trip to ER.you need a chest scan to see what is going on inside.sounds like you have an issue with your esophagus. I don't think this should be wrote off to an assumption.
go back to the docter asap
Yea, go back to your doctor, Something is going on it sounds like.
It could possibly hurt in the chest because the bone went done far enough and is lodged at the bottom of your esophagus or even in your stomach. If you have ever had heartburn it sometimes "feels" as if the pain is in the chest, but it is really part of the GI tract. I would call a GI dr. tomorrow asap and insist on being seen tomorrow. I would follow your own gut -no pun intended- feeling and insist on another scope and MRI or Cat scan. Good luck.
it probably did pass like the doc said but it probably cut you on the way down or something.go see another doctor! dont trust your health to just one random old dude with a degree.
