how would you treat deep abrasions on the hand?

Question:
i fell while skating and my hands burned, blistered and broke the skin. I know have abrasions on my hands near my wrists, what are is the best way to treat them?

Answers:
If they are indeed deep, you should go to the hospital, or, if they have pebbles that you can't remove, you need to go. If they aren't too bad, clean them well, it is going to hurt, but you have to clean it!! If they are large, gauze is the best thing because it will cover a larger area. Just beware that you need to change it often so that it doesn't get stuck in the abrasion. If they aren't too big, a big band-aid would probably be sufficient.

Other Answers:
the BEST treatment? throw the skates in the trash.
go to see your doctor
the best way is to wash it with soap and water, if it is very serious (about 3-4 mm) inside, then i suggest going to the hospital, otherwise, wrap it in clean cloth till the bleeding stops

Wash well and perhaps pour peroxide on them. And wrap a light gauze on to keep dirt from getting in to cause infection. I had to do that a few times when I got blisters and infection in my hands (long story).
use peroxide to keep it clean and also a dressing a couple times a day
first of all you have to keep the area clean and DONT break the blisters if it is red and their is a red line going up your arm get to the hosptial for it is blood posioning and you need er help and are you up to date on your shots and you might need a tenuses shot
