is it appendicitis?

Question:
What are early symptoms of appendicitis? Have slight pain in lower right side, had normal bowel movement, not mensturating, definitely not pregnant. Not gall bladder attack, had gall bladder removed 3 years ago. How do u know if u should go to hospital?

Answers:
Slight pain. don't rush to the hospital. If I remember correctly, (it was over 20 yrs ago) when I had it, it wasn't when you put pressure ON that it hurt, it was when you released your hand from the area that the pain increased. Do you have a "ask a nurse" program in your area? Some towns have a phone number that you can call and ask questions of a registered nurse. I would check into that first. Good Luck

Other Answers:
Could be gas. Give it about 3-5 more hours..Continued pain should be followed by a trip to the hospital.

To be on the cautious side..it never hurts to go to the ER. They will ask you what you are feeling, for how long..probably run some tests, and tell you what is going on.

To me, yeah, it sounds like it could be your appendix. First thing I was going to say, before I completely read your question, was a possible gall bladder attack. just had mine out a few months ago.VERY painful!
