Im always itchy after showering and swimming?

Question:
After I get out of the shower, pool, lake or whatever after about 2 mins I become extremely itchy on my back and chest and occasionally my leg areas. Ive showered in many different places and im always itchy. Any Ideas?

Answers:
Sounds like you have dry skin, try using some moisturising cream when you get out of the water while your skin is still very slightly damp, otherwise see your doctor as your could have an infection or skin condition

Other Answers:
you have to re shower and then but moistusier on like baby lotion that works.

Try putting some lotion on after you shower. you have dry skin. use a moisturizer after. try something with baby oil.

Its probably the Cholrine in the water. Make sure you have a proper shower after leaving the swimming pool, use soap that lathers/ shower gel

You're probably itchy because your skin is dry. Before you dry off, rub a little baby oil all over, after you dry apply lotion.

Sounds like an allergy. Have a word with you GP but in the meantime, take Piriton or another hay fever tablet - they do help! Join the club.. I think this a common thing..skin contracting maybe.

Could it be dry skin/dermatitis? Maybe you're allergic to the fabric softener/showergel? Does your skin go red at all?

It might be where your hairs have been flattened by water and are slowly rising back up with heat.

you probably have sensitive skin, ask a doctor, hope this helps! you must have a allergy.. change your shower gel to simple for men. and stay out the pool, lake etc for a while (or wear a diving suit and flippers).

it could either be the chlorine in the water, or the PH of the water. I have that problem when i shower in water that has a higher PH.

I get itchy aswell. wen i swim, bath or shower in warm water. So i jus have a splash of cold water wen im done. And then im fine. Wish i no wat causes it tho.

you obviously have sensitive skin, use an un fragranced mostouriser every time,i have the same problem sounds like you are sensitive to chlorine, if you can`t get a water softener then use aqueous cream like a soap
