How do you control asthmatic breathing in hot weather?
Question:
Answers:
My daughter suffers from asthma and hot/dry days are tough. When breathing gets difficult, I have her mask her nose and mouth with a cold, moist (drippy) washcloth and have her breathe for several minutes 'through' it. Chewing on frozen fruit or ice cubes helps, too. When all else fails.time for a shower. I will start the shower running with the water as hot as possible (with the bathroom door closed), for a few minutes before she gets in to create steamy/moist air to breathe. Then, I decrease the water temp. to as cool as she can stand and have her get in until she's breathing better.
I also found by combining certain essential oils and having her bring it close to her nose but not against her skin, holding one nostril shut, inhale the aroma, hold the scent in for a count of 10-15, then inhale on the other side and repeating the process once more, gives amazing results in controlling her allergies! Generally, it stops her allergic reaction completely. I would like to share this recipe with you. The essential oil combination is eucalyptus, lemongrass, wintergreen and peppermint in equal parts diluted 50/50 with olive oil. Use only quality, 'THERAPEUTIC' organic e-oils for this purpose.
Good luck to you, hope this will help!

Stop almost all activity and keep cool with ice (cold drinks). That's about it.
Oh, and keep breathing.
