If you lost an eye, what would you choose, a glass eye or an eyepatch?
Question:
Answers:
An eye patch. Glass eyes look wierd and you get to walk around pretending to be a pirate.
the combo
I'd buy one from a poor desperate person in the third world and have it transplanted in.
i would choose not to lose an eye in the first place.
eyepatch.u look fitting and mysterious that way.the glass eyeball just makes u look like a freak.
you ask interesting questions I'll keep an eye out for more!
eye patch
Eye patch with out a doubt.
Eye patch, all the way. I'd then dress and talk like a pirate for the rest of my days. And get a parrot.
Glass eye.
eye patch
They make fake eyes that look real, you don't have to do the glass thing. I would choose that and an eye patch to keep my options open. You could seriously accessorize with a patch and I expect it would alot more comfortable.
The eye-patch; then you can be a pirate everyday. Arr!
I used to work with a woman with a glass eye and it was slightly distrubing to say the least! I'd go for the patch, a la Gabrielle - something with sequins would do the trick.
glass eye because if you were waiting at a bus stop you could take it out throw it up to see if there was any seats on the top deck
I would go for a glass eye and grow my fringe over it.
Glass eye! top party piece and conversation starter
Technology has changed in the world of glass eyes. my uncle has recently had his removed, opted for a glass eye. but they reattached the muscles and stuff so the eye moves.like the old one. it actually looks real.not just a static eye!
I would choose a glass eye because this days ocular prosthetist who are expert in this field will match artificial eye much like your other eye. What they would do first is you will have a "shell" fitted into socket to retain normal shape of eye. Then few weeks later the artificial eye which is moulded to shape of eyeball and the colour with your other eye will be fitted. The artificial eye will look like your other eye and will move when the other eye moves. Quite often it is difficult for other people may not even notice that you have an artificial eye.
a glass eye
Most likely a glass eye or a similar prostetic.
Keep in mind that "glass" eyes are no longer the standard as the only glass that is appropriate for them apparently comes from Germany.
Acrylic eyes are the most normal artificial prostetic device for eyes today which allows them to be more effectively matched to the other eye. They also can get much more detailed than in the past and there are many different ways that doctors work to help people accept the eye, i.e. dealing with infection or irritation from acryilic. Most people have no problem with them but some have sensitivity to artificial materials. See the link below for a decent site that will give you some info.
a glasseye
defo the glass eye, nowadays they look real
eye patch, then having a parrot on your shoulder would be a good talking point
I would choose a glass eye. I work in an eye department, and several of our nurses have tried to test the vision of people with glass eyes by mistake! They are specially painted to match your other eye as closely as possible. They don't move exactly the same as your other eye, but if it can be fitted in a certain way, it can move pretty well.
a glass eye
EYE PATCH BECAUSE U COULD GET A PAROT AND ACT LIKE A PIRAT
first of all, they arent really made from glass, but I know what you meant. I would wear a false one, not a patch.
