Can playing with bird feathers make a child sick?

Question:

just wondering if you could get sick off of a single feather that was found on the ground?

Answers:
if its in damp, near the drain, road, or playground, then its dirty and contains germs or maybe the bird can be dirty or sick. So the chances of making a child sick is high.

well, they do carry lice and other things, so it probably isn't too safe, however i think most kids have played with them so it probably wouldn't kill them, but you never know

somethimes possibly..they have mites, wash the childs hands very well :)

I think yes it could carry disease but I doubt that the child will get sick but there is always that possibility.

Allergies.

you don't know what kind of germ that feather pick up and you also don't know if that child has an allergy against feathers
