I really love doing kungfu and this is the first time I dislocated it. If i wear a knee support will that be able to help me stille able to do kungfu?

Answers:
You should see a doctor or physical therapist. A specialist in sports medicine is a great option. Injuries take longer to heal if ou don't do it right and take it easy for the time recommended, so don't rush things and follow the professinal's recommendations, don't listen to friends or other buddies or guys you do kung fu with. See a professional and get better.

wow you watching too much bruce lee man. since your 14 you probably stunted you growth on your dislocated leg. so you'll look really weird when you grow up, just hope that you don't grow any taller.
I'd have an orthopedist look at your knee. You may need to have surgery to repair the kneecap. At the least, you may have to wear a knee brace for awhile. Ask the dr. what he thinks about the Kung Fu.
Ah, another knee injury from martial arts....very common. I've sprained so many ligaments doing taekwondo.

i'd definatly see a doctor about it, as you may have hurt the tendon and/or ligament holding your knee in place. take time off from kung fu. do what the doctor says. i was out of taekwondo for two weeks when i sprained a ligament in my knee, but it helped my knee heal.

i hope i helped!
Hi im a orthopaedic plaster technician so i deal with these injuries all the time, ist off all your pe teachers should ot off popped your knee bck in to place they are not medically qualified to do this also it had to be down correct other wise you will get more problems. Some people who dislocate there knees sometimes happen to them quite often as the ligaments and tissues surrounding the knee cap become lose and worn so you really need to be care full in future as this may happen again, also you need to give your knee time to heal, ligaments tissues take time to heal,so being in a knee brace wil help and rest is needed. If you have further probs you need to see your GP and he will advice you or refer you to a orthopaedic consultant.Good luck.
