How can I heal my wrist after a severe sprain?

Question:
More than 3 months ago I broke my right wrist and severely sprained my left wrist in an accident. Now my right wrist appears to be 95% healed where as my left does not seem to be getting better. In fact, if I isolate the left wrist for a few days it becomes stiff and more painful than if I were to keep it in use. I can not apply any force on the wrist joint except for pulling movements. What does anyone out there think is the prob? Should I keep stretching and working it? I realize I need to seek therapy but I'm deployed in the military and won't be able get help for the wrist for another 2 months. Will that be to late for therapy to be any good to me? Any help or insight will be very appreciated.

Hi sounds to me you may still have a fracture that hasent healed as you should not still be having pain 3 mths later. Some times when you have a x-ray the fracture doenst allways show up due to swelling, thats why we normally ask for a second a wk later.Go bck to your gp or hospital and get another x-ray done,if you have a fracture you will be in a plaster cast up to 8 wks.I would not leave this problem 2 mths either just incase you have a fracture and its not in allignment you will have problems the rest off your life and pain too,you need to get this sorted out.Good Luck
Rest it and put it in a sling.
