What causes this rib pain?
Question:
Answers:
I get this too, it is a type of cramp, from eating, breting, or exercising too much. That is what the doctor told me
Other Answers:
Sounds like gas.
Yes, it is a condition called pleurisy. This happens when the layers of your lungs become inflammed thus causing the sharp pains especially during inspiration. I think that for your own peace of mind, you need to consult your doctor. It's probably nothing serious, but you'll feel better if you have it looked into.
P.S. This does NOT sound like pleurisy.
Likely the muscles and nerves between your ribs get pinched or bruised. Check with your doctor anyhow though.

My brother is a doctor and he diagnosed me when I had those symptoms. I usually got it after driving and after switching to a different car, it pretty much went away.
