Why should I take an aspirin a day?
Question:
Answers:
Because unlike vitamin E (which thins the blood, and prevents stroke and heart attack), which would require you go to a health food store AND NOT A PHARMACY, aspirin kills at least 2,000 people a year, and doctors don't like to recommend things that don't have any chance of killing you..they equate harmlessness with ineffectiveness. And they are threatened by natural alternatives because it takes all the power away from their drug dealing mentalities, and keeps them from driving a Mercedes, or buying implants for their mistresses.
Other Answers:
you shouldn't, unless you've already had a heartattack.
Only if you have a clotting problem or cardiac issues. Other than that, why should you take aspirin? Who told you that? You're young, so there are no immediate benefits at this point in time.
Ask your Doctor. Depends on your age, medical history and family medical history. I take one everyday. I am 39 and have history of heart disease in my family.
People take an aspirin a day to make their blood thinner so there will be no more clots, or to prevent cardiac issues (like a heart attack).
well Jeff, it doesn't matter if you had a heart attack or not, if you have a family history of heart attacks, strokes, etc, it might, be a good idea to take one baby aspirin a day, but no more than one, and make sure it is a baby aspirin or a coated one that is only 81 mg's only if you have blood clutting problems
cause an asprin a day is good for the heart. It reduces the chance of heart attacks and strokes especially if u have disorders that are prone to give u those things. It is very much so doctor reccommended. And it also helps to thin the blood if u are at chance for blood clots or anything.
u shoul'nt unless ur doc says so & if he does then u have a cardio vasccular prob
Many doctors believe it is good for the heart, possibly reducing the risk of suffering a heart attack later in life..
I have heard some doctors who are against or dont believe in that theory..
Best to do some research on your own while you are online and weigh the pros and cons to make a good decision on the Aspirin a day theory
it depends on how old you are. You should take baby aspirin (1/2 strength).. watch out for stomach ulcers. Study shows it does decrease the risk of stroke and heart attacks. Aspirin is a blood thinner.. so it prevents clotting.. That's one way to keep your blood more thing when you are a diabetic person
Aspirin for people with previous heart attacks, coronary artery disease and strokes.
Aspirin for people who are at high risk for a heart attack. I don't think its in any guideline but many people in this category do. If you smoke, have diabetes, hypertension, family history, high cholesterol, you may consider taking an aspirin.
An aspirin is not recommend for the general population. People can develop ulcers and have massive stomach bleeds from it.
hehe how come most complementary medicine folks are so out spoken about convention medicines. I thought aspirin came from willow tree. Am I missing something?
Aspirin is not a prescription medication and you dont need to get it a pharamacy. Check out this nutrition web site. It has aspirin listed.

Because the drug companies want you to make them richer. Better to sunbathe which is free. I said to a medical doctor that 40,000 people in USA right now need liver transplants and most will not get one. He said that it is mostly due to people taking a drug or medication called Tylenol.
The first 4 paragraphs of below webpage tell about a guy who had lots of operations and was on lots of medications (including 3 for depression) who used natural means to cure all of his health problems including getting lots of sunlight to cure his skin cancer.
