The truth about colonoscopy?

Question:
I was scared silly by the stuff I read on the web but the truth is: prep easy, no sedation, no pain relief, no problems, very minor discomfort, watched the whole thing and got pictures. Get a good endoscopist that does not believe drugging you up is a substitute for them taking care/using skill and it is a breeze. Avoid any bozo that says you need to be sedated and given amnesia as they are probably just incompetent and need you out of it while they struggle. Happy to answer all questions and pass on the truth, including name of my endoscopist that does over 50% without medication, has not perforated anyone in 20,000 procedures and is a great bloke (London based).

Steve

So don't panic when you read the CR@P others write to scare you!!!. PS. Had 3 or 4 adenoma removed while I watched and so probably have avoided cancer in the next 10 years.

100% relieved and happy to put your minds at rest.

Answers:
Steve is correct. I have had endoscopies done twice - safely and with no major discomfort. The idea of endoscopy produces more discomfort than the actual procedure.
so what is your question??
