What causes the skin on the bottoms of my feet to peel off, and how can I trigger it to peel off again?

Question:
Throughout my life, once a year or once every couple of years, the skin on the bottoms of my feet has begun to peel off. It usually starts in one place, then I find that a layer of skin will peel off the entire bottom of each foot. I've asked friends about this and they all say they've had the same thing happen, but none of us can pinpoint how or why it happens and why it only happens once every year or so. I'm wondering what causes this, and specifically if there is a way to trigger or force it to peel off again.

Answers:
go have a pedicure. they scrape all the dead skin off your feet for you.. try it!! it feels really good!!
