If you are having something removed you should lose weight hi my mum has just had one removed and she is exactly the same, but i would be careful what you do it, as you can eat fattier foods now, as you couldnt before

No.I saw 2 women who did so .

No the gallbladder removal will not cause weight gain.

having your gall bladder removed will not make u put on weight, the gall bladder stores bile that is produced by the liver, this function when the gallbladder is removed will be taken over by the liver. The function of bile is to help break down fats.As the liver takes over the function there should be no change to your weight. No, will not make you gain weight. I had mine removed 2 years ago and it had no effect on my weight or appetite. Plus, I thoroughly talked over the risks and benefits with my doc before doing it. (even though I didnt have a choice on the matter, lol) The greatest risk with it is that about 10% of people who have it removed develop problems with diarreah afterwards. Like everytime a person would eat anything, they would end up running to the bathroom afterwards. But it is a low risk, and 90% of people have no problems with this. I am not sure of your reasons for having it removed, so I am not sure what changes you will experience afterwards. But most people claim they can eat whatever they want afterwards, including foods they couldnt touch before hand. But not always right away, it takes a little while for your body to adjust to the changes and not having a gall bladder anymore. Usually just a couple weeks. The only effect I have had since my surgery is that I can no longer eat fat or I get really sick. So when it comes to like hamburger, I have to buy lean, or I have to cut the fat off the edges of steak. But that stuff is bad for you anyways, so I guess it was not a bad effect. Everyones body is different, so I wont say it is impossible to gain weight, but it is not a common result.

There isnt anything to worry about it doesnt make you gain weight and its an outpatient procedure not hospital food yum.
