what are the symptoms of having a cracked rib?

Question:
i got hit in the side while playing soccer yesterday and the area beneath my right arm hurts whenever i need to bend over or get up, or move.

Answers:
severe pain in the area where the rib is cracked.. There is nothing that can be done for a cracked rib it takes about 6 weeks to heal. You would probably have felt it break. If it is very bad you should go to Dr. for x-ray and painkillers.

Other Answers:
you cant get out of bed in the morning and it gets worse every day

Hurts even to breathe, but you get the same symptoms with a bruised rib. To be safe get an x-ray You wouldn't be able to bear with the pain. Go get an x ray to be sure.

What are the symptoms of being a dumb jock? Any intelligent person would go to the docs rather than try to analyse a broken rib here.
Alternatively, stop bending over, getting up or moving for the next 3 weeks, it'll cure itself. I believe the symptoms are:
Immense pain when: inhaling, exhaling, sitting, standing, leaning, reaching, sleeping, driving, walking, running, eating, drinking, watching TV, pulling weeds, roofing a house, working out, answering questions, talking, remaining quiet, singing, yelling, coughing, choking, whistling, leaning the other way, hula-hooping, playing sports, playing video games, asking questions, being bored, being active, surfing the net, going to the bathroom, taking a shower, taking a bath, brushing your teeth (or tooth if your in Kentucky) (jk), writing reports, doing homework, answering the phone, visiting your doctor, visiting your girl/boy friend, kissing, ********, *********, sneezing.
If you have any of these symptoms I recommend seeing your doctor as you may have a broken rib. He'll x-ray you, push on it, make it hurt worse, charge you an insane amount of money and then tell you there's nothing he can do for it, that it will just have to heal on it's own.
