You're not blinking enought whie you are watching tv or playing video games, so your eyes get dry and irritated. Do'nt watch so much TV. Give your poor eyes a break!
I would suggest seeing an optometrist-you probably have eye strain and need glasses for reading and computer, etc, time. I did and it really helps (when I remember to wear the darn things)!
You might need to check into glasses or into a new prescription. You need to take breaks when you are constantly looking at a computer at work and then video games at home. Try to find things you like once in a while that do not involve looking at a screen.
Lay off the T.V and video games for a bout 3 days and have your eyes checked for glasses.

lubricating eyes with "natural tears" (ex.systane, refresh) will help.
"restasis" or "punctal plugs" may be prescribed by optometrist or ophthalmologist
Restasis: helps patients produce more of their own tears, where the lubricating drops simply add moisture.
Punctal plugs: come in various materials--silicone or collagen (collagen plugs disolve after 3 days and are great to check whether a patient can tolerate the plug); silicone plug stays in patient's puncta opening (either the upper or lower eyelid).
Punctal plugs simply prevent the tears from draining out of the eye quickly, keeping the eye moist.
As for the "stars"--absolutely normal after you've rubbed your eyes.

( Take 250 grams of dry amwala from pansari shop, make the powder of it by using hamam dasta or mixsie.) Take 1/2 tea spoon & put it in half glass of water in the night. After getting up in the morrning drink the stuff before doing any thing.Wait for half hour before eating & drinking any thing.( Dear daughter.)

when you're staring at a screen for so long, make sure there's another source of light in the room so that your eyes don't have to work so hard.
try and look away from the screen every minute if you can, or at least every 5 minutes. look away for at least 10 seconds and try to focus on something close to you (foreground) then something maybe 3 metres away (middle ground) and then something outside (long distance).
This gets your eye muscles working which is like stretching them.
If you've been sitting in front of a screen for more than a couple of hours, try and get up and away from it for a bit. even though it doesn't look like it, most screens flicker and this can strain your eyes as well.
