Answers:
It could be dislocated! You definitely need to see a doctor. Sit down with your parents and let them know all the facts and let them see your shoulder. I'm sorry you're in a position where your parents don't trust you, but you're going to have to be persistent if you're in pain.

In the meantime, I would find a position that is comfortable for your arm to be in and try to make a sling out of an old t-shirt or towel and tie your arm in that position. A warm heating pad may also help. If it's only feeling worse (and not better) become more insistant with your parents that you need to see a doctor.

Best of luck to you.

You need to convince your parents to take you to the doctors, but if you cannot do that maybe you can go to your local clinic yourself you are a student so you should be bulk billed anyways so you shouldn't need to pay. It wouldn't hurt to ask at the reception before seeing the doctor. And if the doctor finds something wrong that needs more specialist, ask him to contact your parents. Best of luck

It definatly sounds dislocated. Im 23 and have already had casts on both elbows when I was growing up as well as a "capsular shift" done to both shoulders (surgery to repair the loose tendion). What you described sounds just like when my shoulders used to "pop outta place", and it could happen anywhere, anytime - putting on my tshirt, boosting myself up in a chair, reaching above my head - dislocating shoulders are NOT fun at all but left untreated they pose a serious risk!! - the sad thing is, if you have bad joints like me, surgery is the only option to repair your joints. Im 23 and Ive had the operation on both of my shoulders, and when you have it, you are off work/school for 6 weeks then take an entire YEAR to rehabilitate and strengthen your joints .. sad thing is though . because its been 10 years since my operations my joints are hurting and starting to "slip" again therefore I have to have the operations AGAIN in the coming years very soon .. GO TALK TO YOUR PARENTS, show them your shoulder tell them you MUST (not want) MUST go to the emergency room to get an XRAY done . you dont want this to get any worse then it is . if you catch it early on, you can do physiotherapy and repair it . if not, its surgery .. oh and . I wouldnt be playing ANY sports until this is checked out and repaired by a professional .. sorry hun, if it was me, the semis would be out of the question, you NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!!
