The sun is very bad for you, but that doesn't mean you have to stay indoors. You can use sunblock, even some shampoos have it for hair now. As with almost everything, just use moderation and common sense.

The sun is a HUGE unsheilded fusion reactor so what "THEY" say is completely true What the mean is if u tan and go outside in the sun to sunbathe. U will look like George Hamilton with leathery skin. I am telling u that makes u look a lot older and then there is the skin cancer to deal with too.

yeah i agree

Sun in moderation is good for your overall well-being, yes. You get a good amount of Vitamin D from the sun which aids in the absorption of calcium in the body. It also wards off such maladies as ricketts and SAD (seasonal affective disorder). It is indeed good to get out in the sunshine while we get it (the UK weather can be so persnickety). However, it is still good to wear white clothing, hats and sunscreen if out in the sun for long periods of time. It will prevent against sunburn and, in the long term, skin cancer.

The sun is GOOD for you. They always bring up the negatives. We all need the sun, our bones need it, otherwise we'll all get rheumatism and crap bones. It is good for the skin and hair too, and definitely for the mind. Happy mind makes happy people. Everything in moderation. It's the heat that gets to me. Never really listened to what 'they' say anyway.

I do not sunbath , but when walking I get some sun, the sun can be both bad and good for you. If prolonged in sun can cause cancer, wrinkles, etc. if in moderate you get vitamins from the sun , so little wont hurt you , here is a good site on the sun and some effects.
