What's the best all-around pain reliever to take?

I woke up this morning with a small headache and some severe pain in my neck (like a stiff neck). What's the best pain reliever to take that will help combat both the headache, as well as the pain in my neck? Motrin, Advil..?

Advil and Motrin are basically the same thing-Ibuprofen.
It helps inflammation and pain.

Ibuprofen works great for me. I'd go with Cataflam, which basically it's sodic diclofenac. Good analgesic power and smooth to your stomach.


I like Aleve-naproxyn. It works better for me than ibuprofen. It relieves pain, fever, and inflammation.


Anything with Ibuprofen will help. However, if pain persists, and you get any of these symptoms : vomiting, rash, fever. -
go and see a doctor immediately.

You should never take pain medication for more than 2-3 days continously without seeing your doctor.

Also try some warm hot-water bags on neck to relax muscles.
