I had the same thing one time. Turned out I'd pulled some muscles in my chest at the same time. Probably nothing but go to the doctor if it gets worse or it worries you.

yes they are connected and can be so painful that heavy pain meds are needed
They could be. The event that sprained your shoulder could have in addition strained your breathing muscles or given them a blunt trauma type injury.
But painful breathing should be checked out by a doctor. These symptoms could easily be from some other co-existing problem, such as pleuresy.
i have them too but there related to my alergies.i somtimes get this sharp shock in my lungs.they kind of make me want to stop breathing beauces im afraid i have to feel that again
