does anyone know about getting paid to take care of paralyzed fiancee through a state program?

Yes, In Hawaii my friend, about 50 yrs. old, takes care of his Alzheimers mom & he gets money from the State, welfare I think. You may also try Social Security, I don't know about that though. SSI 1-800 772-1213, I think they do it also.

I'd be more concerned about upcoming medical bills. You may not want to hear this, but I wed a man with a major heart condition. He passed away and *I* was stuck with his bills.
Think long and hard about marrying someone with major medical problems. Love or not, it can be something you may not be prepared for, financially or emotionally. My husband was also insecure and swore I'd want someone else because he had a medical condition. I didn't, but he never let the idea go. Just a friendly word of advice.
