can someone tell me whats wrong with my ear?

Question:
i took a shower last night, and suddenly my right ear felt a clogging feeling and some sort of numb feeling. its a similar feeling to when water goes into your ear while you're swimming or something. the problem is, i dont remember water going into my ear while i was showering. thinking it was just temporary, i just used a q-tip and went to sleep. i woke up today with the same numbing feeling, and everytime i use a qtip it seems to get a lil worse. i tried jumping up and down to knock it off with no efforts. can someone tell me whats going on? ear infection?!

Answers:
Do you have medical coverage to go to the physician? If so, have the doctor examine you and determine whether you have wax build-up.

If you do not have medical coverage, there are over-the-counter preparations containing glycerine and peroxide to soften the wax. Then you can use an ear syringe (a bulb you fill with water) to irrigate your ear. Movement of the jaw helps the ears' natural cleaning process, so chewing gum and talking can both help. Some home remedies are safe and effective. A vinegar-water-peroxide solution (1:1:2) can be warmed to body temperature and applied to the ear canal to soften wax. A drop of baby oil can be placed in each ear canal on a regular basis (typically, once or twice per week) to soften hard, painful wax. People who have a history of middle ear infections, swimmer's ear, or a hole in the ear drum should NOT try these remedies.

There are other reasons why you may be feeling numbness and it is best to consult a physician. Do not use Q-tips in your ears.

Other Answers:
Take a q-tip and SHOVE it in REALLY HARD, moron.
Go to the doctor before you have permanent hearing loss.
yawn or sumthing open up ur ear holes it like the feeling when ur on an airplane
ahahahahahahhaa!!! I hope you go deaf because you are already dumb.
Sometimes you can have impacted wax buildup, and the more you use a q-tip, the worse it gets.....don't mess around with it though, you could puncture your eardrum, so go to a doctor, and maybe he can clean them for you. My bro does that all the time when his ears get impacted.. good luck, I don't think it is any thing more serious than that my friend.
i think u got swimmers ear go to the doc
Stop using Q-tips. Your just irritating it! Go to a ear doctor immediately or if your young have your mum take you. You don't want to mess around with your hearing. Good luck
No ear infection, yet. Try sleeping on that side of your head to get the water out if that is the problem. Also try suctioning the side of your hand to your ear and that sometimes too will get water out of your ear canal. If the problem persists, see your doctor. They have the capabilities to look inside your ear and pinpoint the problem. Good luck, I hope you feel better.
swimmer's ear maybe go see a doctor before it gets infected stop useing the qtip it could do more damage than good
the doctor will remove the wax build-up.

the q-tip simply compressed the wax so it is blocking the acoustic path.
The standard instructions are to put nothing in your ear smaller than your elbow. You probably have an external canal infection made worse by more probing.
Go see your doctor... NOW
It could be an ear infection...I would definitely suggest that you see a doctor
It could be excess wax. I had to have my ears "vacuumed" a while back and one bit of wax was enough to clog the vacuum for a moment. I noticed right away that I was a bit dizzy until the pressure was equalized in both ears.
right go to the doc
they have something called swimmers ear at the drug store but if u have been missing with it alot the stuff may burn a lil but it unclogs ur ears
if it is not painful, it may not be an infection. It could be a build up of wax and you may need your ear syringed. I had the same problem, my hearing in my left ear suddenly decreased, I thought I was going deaf, at 18. The doc had a laugh and gently pumped in a syrnge full of water and washed out masses of wax.
it may be ear wax deep in the canal..go to the ear Doc. to have it looked at..
Some people are so rude. I don't know what that could be and I know of a few ear diseases and problems. I wonder if maybe it could be a beginning infection. I hope you get a better answer to your question.
It's an ear infection. You have fluid in your ear, it's not water, it's actually puss.
Stop putting a q-tip in your ear. You are only compacting the problem further into your ear. You need to go to the doctor and have it drained now. You may even have an ear infection.
Swimmer's ear. Water gets stuck...

try an over the counter ear cleaning solution. They are sold at any drug store. You probably have wax buildup.
I'm a vet I know alittle about ears... Stop using the q-tips call a ears nose and throat doctor set up an appt asap, because it will become infected for sure, and then you will have this for about 2 weeks, if you want a quick fix do this...
DON'T use any more q-tips, it will probably only get worse - I had this once when I was little, after swimming in the swimming pool, you'd better go to the doctor
you probably jus have an ear acne. try putting some ear drops. that should work.
Get some drops @ the drug store (otc) called "swimmers ear"
or put a drop of peroxide into your ear
hi...try using a blow dryer and blow the warm air in your ear water might be in the cannal
if it hurts when u chew or swallow food, ya u might have an ear infection or maybe u have a wax build up in ur ear and theres some water in i t. just to the pain go away, warm up some baby oil and put it on a dropper and just drop it right in ur ear
Put some peroxide in your ear and let it boil out. You may have a wax build up. Q-tips make it worse. See a doctor, probably not an ear infection or swimmers ear if there is no pain or fever. However, I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV.
