is feeling shaky a sign of diabetes?

Question:
Sometimes if I dont eat I get really shaky. Like today. I ate this morning but now I feel shaky. Im eating oatmeal which helps but I still feel a little shaky.

Answers:
I get like that. It's mostly just because your blood sugar has dropped. That is normal when you go for a while without eating. Your body processes all the sugar in your blood and then has no more to use until you refuel.

If it happens all the time and you eat regularly, you should talk to your doctor about your blood sugar. Rather than being high, like with diabetes, you may have low blood sugar.

Other Answers:
It happens to me sometime and its lack of food and energy in your body.Drink alot of water and stay away from coffee and stuff.I been eating like an animal i feel great now days:-)

I use to do that if I ate food with too much sugar, especially in the morning and then I would eat something salty and feel better. It may be one sign but look up all the symptoms on the Internet. Your blood sugar may just get high to fast. i'm not sure but i get like that when i don't eat for a while

too many factors to limit it to just diabetes.most people can get woozy waiting for the next meal.explore what other symptoms you may have.

not necessarily, but i have been told by doctors that it means low blood sugar just eat a candy and the shacks Will go away

I'm a Type 2 diabetic and if my sugars get too low I get real shaky. It's also called hypoglycemia. Eat several small meals a day and it should keep your sugars pretty regular. nope. only if you dont eat enough and/or you exercise too much w/out nutrients. that happened to me at a swim meet. i was all shaky and dizzy. but it was b/c i overworked myself. don't worry. just get enough nutrition.

happens to me sometimes. if i eat a snickers bar it goes away. doesn't matter if I ate anything else that day or not.

See your doctor.

Maybe your sugar count is low. You need to see a doctor. I get like that at times and I have to either suck on a candy or drink some orange juice. You might be a diabetic! Could be your blood sugar is off, but you should see a doctor.
